A(nother) Day at the Park

Big Baby and Thomas went along and joined in the fun. That's Thomas in the pink, riding the motorcycle :-).

Fun see-saw. We all took turns balancing in the center, even me. Caitlyn and Keegan lasted a lot longer than Kelsey and I did.

The girls got to dance part of the ballet again at a dance festival. It was great to get to enjoy the show one more time.

See Keegan's "picture smile?" It's just the same in both pictures. After dancing as a leaf, Keegan quickly transformed into a mouse, hence the whiskers.

This is my little blurb for Cranium Family games. We have Cranium Cadoo and Cranium Family Edition. These games are really different and fun. Since they have all sorts of different activities, the same person isn't always automatically ahead, and the adults aren't necessarily at an advantage. They aren't for toddlers or little kids, but suit a wide range of older kids. For example, the girls and I all played Cadoo this afternoon. Keegan acted out "loose tooth." I guessed it, so we both scored. Kelsey acted out "rowing," which Caitlyn guessed, although I don't know how :). I drew a fairy and Kelsey drew a footprint. Caitlyn found an object that keeps you dry and Keegan figured out that pictures of a rock, a king, and a horse, stood for "rocking horse." Kelsey made a cell phone out of play dough (although I must admit, this one baffled us,) and Caitlyn searched for the tiny difference between 3 pictures. See? Never predictable or boring. If your family likes games, and if your kids are school age or older, you might want to check out these games. That's it.
Maybe they'll send me a commission ;-)

Ready, set, go!

Our worship group visited another church Sunday evening. While they were inside setting up, Keegan, Kelsey, and I went out to the playground. Kelsey and Keegan both worked a lot on the monkey bars. Kelsey started out pretty scared, but by the time we were done, she had crossed the bars BY HERSELF! Yay, Kelsey :-).

The shirt is a new hand-me-down with glitter AND butterflies!!! What more could anyone desire in a shirt?

I copied this off Facebook because I thought it was so cute! I changed question 16, because I wanted to know what they thought :-). The idea was to write down exactly what they said.
This was very interesting. To me, at least, even if no one else thinks so :-).
The girls picked the colors for thir answers. My comments are in blue.

1. What is something mom always says to you?
Keegan - "Almost always?" Me, "OK." Keegan, "Come so I can comb you hair."
Kelsey - that you love me (awwwwww)
Caitlyn - You always say, "We're going to do some laundry today." - It seems like that to me, too!

2. What makes mom happy?
Keegan - When I hug and kiss you - yes :)
Kelsey - Hmmm, I am thinking... that I'm your kid - yes :)
Caitlyn - Hmmmm, when all the animals are doing what they are supposed to and not causing problems (said as the cat was attacking me AGAIN)

Keegan - when I am sick

Keegan - 38 and you'll be 39 this year

They are right. I don't think I ever know how old my mom was when I was growing up.

7. How tall is your mom?
Keegan - about 5 feet
Kelsey - I don't know 'cause I've never measured you - smile
Caitlyn - I'm not sure, maybe 5 and a half feet or something around there. I'll guess 5'7".
I am 5 '8".

8. What is her favorite thing to do?
Keegan - play with us :o)

Keegan - you read your book or go on the computer - true

Keegan - Reading the most books

Caitlyn - Hmmm, getting the house clean at the last minute when someone is coming to look at it

Keegan - making cinnamon rolls - OK, cinnamon rolls for breakfast tomorrow :-)
Kelsey - hmmm, being a mommy - soooo sweet, except the "hmmm!"

12. What is your mom not very good at?
Keegan - not telling Daddy to make lunch ?????
Kelsey - hmmmm, being a daddy because you're a mommy and you never practiced being a daddy
Caitlyn - dancing - there's that reality again!

13. What does your mom do for her job?
Keegan - take care of us and bring us to class
Kelsey - make us breakfast and lunch and sometimes supper, except if it's a Saturday or Sunday and Daddy makes one because your job is being a mommy
Caitlyn - stay at home and teach us

Keegan - Well, you like Pizza Hut pizza
Kelsey - Hmmm, I'm to going to guess one sandwich with tomato on it

I think Keegan and Kelsey went with things we actually eat fairly regularly while Caitlyn thought of overall favorite.

15. What makes you proud of your mom?
Keegan - taking care of me :-)
Kelsey - hmmm, I don't really know
Caitlyn - just that you're my mommy :-)

Keegan - when I do a good job
Kelsey - I don't know
Caitlyn - because I am your daughter and you love me and like the things that I can do

17. What do you and your mom do together?
Keegan - play games
Kelsey - hmmm, read
Caitlyn - a lot of things, like read or cook or work a puzzle or things like that

18. How are you and your mom the same?
Keegan - we're both girls
Kelsey - both being girls
Caitlyn - people think we look the same and the same typos seem to annoy us
Caitlyn is right about the typos. She is referring to misspelled words and grammatical errors on signs and things like that. Bill thinks we are crazy because we notice those things and are bothered by them.

19. How are you and your mom different?
Keegan - she is a grown-up and I'm not
Kelsey - by you being a grown-up and me being a kid
Caitlyn - you're a lot older than me and we can do different things
Seems to be a theme here!

20. How do you know your mom loves you?
Keegan - because she wouldn't take care of me if she didn't love me and she hugs and kisses me and tells me she loves me
Kelsey - because you hug me

Fun, Fun, Fun

One of Caitlyn's best friends is off to the beach , so we got to go to a cool beach birthday party!

This is Keegan getting dressed (with Kelsey's help) for the relay. She is already wearing the hat and flower in her hair, almost has on the bathing suit, and still needs to add the goggles, leis, kickboard, sandals, and parrot. This was hilarious!!!!

AND, we went to Disney on Ice with some friends - yay!

We had never been to a Disney ice show, so it was extra special for us. Isn't our friend handsome in his tie?

Caitlyn's favorites were the lions dancing to "Can You Feel the Love Tonite?" because she thought the dance was very hard and looked very good.

Keegan's favorites were the lions, the flying, and all the things Ariel did when she was lifted.

Kelsey also liked the lions and how Mickey Mouse kept coming out throughout the show.

And they all liked the giant platform that brought the characters up out of a stage.

Peter Pan is flying! We all loved the flying.

We had so much fun and are very thankful for the chance to see the show and get together with our friends!!!
